10 minutes I wrote and about you things

Kat Stratford: I hate the way you talk to me, and the way you cut your hair. I hate the way you drive my car. I hate it when you stare. I hate your big dumb combat boots, and the way you read my mind. I hate you so much it makes me sick; it even makes me rhyme. I hate it, I hate the way you're always right. I hate it when you lie. I hate it when you make me laugh, even worse when you make me cry. I hate it when you're not around, and the fact that you didn't call. But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you. Not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all.

Rushed off to Punggol for a class after work on Friday.
Yvonne had called in for a relief teacher because one of my colleagues was still sick.
Class was cut throat. 9 kiddos vs my usual 19.
Very big difference.
The smart alac tried to take over the class from me. I do wonder how she conducts the usual class. Hmmm…

Saturday’s class expended beyond its usual capacity.
I seem to be getting a new student every week.
Pretty soon I will be conducting two lessons. O.o
-screams and runs around the room with hair flying all over the place-
Scary xia~
Met Alvin after class and zoomed down to TPY Sports Hall in a cab.
Grading for both Junior and Senior belts.
Brown 1 and above.
I believe it was both an enlightening and freaky experience for the junior belts. Some of whom landed up crying when they completed their tests.
I don’t blame them. Given their age and the amount of knowledge crammed into their minds, not forgetting the number of people staring at them throughout the entire procedure, I wouldn’t be surprised if even the adults run out of the hall in tears.
But that’s another ball game in entirety.
-hysterical laughter-
T’was a good thing that none of my students attended this grading.
Lots of kids and the sessions were staggered.
Lasting all way till 6pm with the rain pouring down on our heads.
Pasar Malam at Toa Payoh central provided many an interesting food source for Alvin, Daryl and myself.
Reached home for dinner and prepared for Sunday.

Marathon days at church hath began.
I wasn’t on duty that day, but plenty of things were going on and I almost fell asleep half way. Then again, there’s nothing unusual about that. -.-lll
I didn’t fall asleep during the second service like I usually do, instead. The head nodding come during the CET - Christian Education and Training.
Yes, I have to confess… it was VERY boring.
Blame the child who was lacking in sleep.
There was a lot of stuff to take in within those two hours and the lesson did not have any break in between.
I initially thought that there would be a break in the middle, but it never came, so hence I had to drink water to keep awake but I still nodded off from time to time.
-whacks head against the wall-

Felt myself falling sick since convocation morning but felt that I could pull through it and get every headless chicken thing done. Sad to say, it was not the case this time, I fell horribly ill on Monday morning and couldn’t get out of bed.
Flu struck me hard this time.
Bad throat and inability to breath properly through the red nose.
-hears Jingle Bells playing in the background-
I ain’t no reindeer!
Waited for 2 hours before I was able to see the doctor.
Efficient to the point of being a humanoid.
Says that if my nose continues being this sensitive, I will end up having to use a nose spray to make sure it does not go crazy on me again.
Nose spray?
Urgh~
I’ve tried ear drops and eye drops but not nose spray… gives me the impression of an asthma inhaler going into the wrong part of the body.
-shakes head to get rid of the imagery-

The virus and nose infection was so strong that I had to stay at home on Tuesday as well. Missing out on another day worth of work as well as cell group.
Spent day the same way as Monday.
Open windows, good ventilation and plenty of rest.
I now know the difference between heading to work well rested and getting out of bed without enough sleep.
It is very distinct to me now.
Hahaha~
I shall have to schedule in a proper nap every week from now on.
-hysterical laughter-

Wednesday, when I went back to work, my nose was still malfunctioning but the good thing was that I was feeling a lot better. In comparison to Monday anyway~
Had to bring my medication to work. The drowsy drugs kinda made me a bit tipsy but not much of a choice coz I didn’t want work to pill up even more.
Forewent taekwondo training that evening for the sake of making a proper and full recovery.
Came home right after work and made sure I consumed home cooked food.
Hehehe…

By the way, I now also realize how quiet life at home is.
Returning to work meant that I lost part of my hearing.
No joke.
Spending 4 full days away from the centre without the voices of the children and then finally having the noise unleashed upon your ears when you are in a state of incomplete wellbeing and tipsiness equals to losing your balance and part of your mind at the same time.
-psychotic laughter-
And I also lost more of my voice because I had to constantly ask the kiddos to turn down their volumes. From level 8 to 2. -.-lll

Thursday met with a similar end. Happy thing in managing to finish my assignments for the week though =]
Watched American Idol Gives Back.
Program lasted till 12.30am.
Many a celebrity lent their support to the production.
Pleas were made for various charities and the phone calls came a ringing.
Yes, the songs were beautiful.
Yes, my heart went out to them; especially the segment done by Annie Lenox.
Yes, the jokes were funny; though I think they were too mean to Simon.
Yes, I believe that the money is very needed by the charities spoken about during the show.
HOWEVER
I cannot help wondering if the big stars had paid for their own trips to the locations or had given to the charities something of themselves then just their time and voice.
I agree that exposure is a very valuable commodity where charities are concerned, but then again, if Brad Pitt or Mariah Carey were donate the proceeds from just one of their movies or albums to a charity of their choice, that charity would be extremely well off.
Don’t forget the good will that comes along for the ambassador who is willing to part with his hard earned money for the sake of the greater good.
I am totally sure that if any movie star were to give his paycheck to a worthy non-profit organization their celeb-status would be boosted by plenty much.

Friday was wet morning day.
It marked the first time I had to get to work in the rain.
Thank God that there is shelter from my block all the way to the LRT station. Heehee…
Made mental changes to the route I would be taking to work then left everything else to God.
As promised, it was all perfect. =]

Since HFMD is so rampant these days, I have learnt how to check the children for possible infections. My prowess was tested this very day. It will be put to work again next Wednesday.
WAHAHAHAH~~
Assignments were completed around 4pm and I was extremely glad to get them all out of my hair before the start of the weekend.
There are plenty of things to be done over the next 3 days.
God shall be my guide.
Until the battle is done and the victory is won, my Lord will me through~
My strength comes from Him and so does my peace.
-does the dance of joy-

I want to be able to tie a proper French braid.
The ones I’ve tested out on my hair seem to be the Outward-Scorpion instead. Sianz… must have more practice and longer hair.
Provided my hair does not get lost in the process of trial and error tying.
O.olll
-faints-

Yeap, it’s another long post.

Marilyn~~~
Coming home soon~~~
JAPANESE FOOD HERE WE COME!!!!!
-loud hysterical laughter-

And way past a circle I have come.
Past Friday and into Saturday.

Headed down to WWS after my usual Saturday class in Seng Kang.
I realise that I miss that place a lot.
Uncle Chan says that me still look the same.
Haahaa.
Helped out with the admin stuff and celebrated Sylvia's birthday at the same time.
Thank you to Annie for the choice of cake.
T'was a nice balance of the different types of chocolates.

Took close to 2 hours to get home.
Must have been the weather.
Hmmm....
Praise God for this week.
The coming one's gonna be even more praise worthy.
His creations are all perfect!

-does the dance of joy again-
^-^
